Branson School Online is home to TWO 2022 Daniels Fund scholarship recipients!

Congratulations Victoria F. and Dawson H!

The Daniels Fund scholarship is a full-ride 4 year scholarship(up to $25,000 per year) to cover tuition, room and board, books/fees, and other expenses. That is a $100, 000 Scholarship! 

Our two seniors were 2 out of 240 students selected for this prestigious scholarship across 4 different states(Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming).  

The Daniels Scholarship Program provides the opportunity for highly motivated students to earn a bachelor’s degree that helps them build a successful career and rewarding life. Daniels Scholars® demonstrate exceptional character, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities.

Favorite Food: Tacos

Favorite Color: Pink

Pets: I have 5 horse. Rooster, Rio, Rose, Butter, and Babychick. I have 1 dog, his name is Cinch.

Hobbies: I like to rope, snowboard, and go to the gym.

Favorite Season: My favorite season is summer because I get to ride my horses and spend a lot of time outside.

Favorite Place: My favorite place I have traveled to is Florida.

Bucket List: The most important item on my bucket list is to go to the Bahamas.

What I will remember most about my senior year of high school: The thing I will remember most about my senior year of high school is how I got to experience life.

Favorite book, author, movie, musician, etc.: My favorite movie is 8 Seconds.

Favorite Sport: My favorite sport is gymnastics.

Accomplishment I am most proud of: The accomplishment I am most proud of is becoming a substitute teacher in order to gain experience in the field that I want to go into after high school.

Is there anything else you would like to say or share? I would like to give a huge thanks to my teachers and my family for pushing me to be successful and always supporting me!

What do you love about teaching? I love seeing kids grow and become independent people who are ready for the world. 

What do you love about teaching with Branson? I love the people I work with at Branson, and InterestED. :) 

Favorite season? Why? Summer! Warm air, swimming, fresh veggies and fruit, flowers, birds singing, camping, flip flops, I could go on and on... 

Favorite place you have traveled to? Best food: New Orleans, best view: Oregon coast 

# 1 item on your bucket list: Ireland, I want to see the countryside and stay in an old castle! 

Favorite book/author: I am a complete Harry Potter nerd! 

Favorite sport: Football, basketball, women’s soccer

Student Spotlight: Christianna and Emily S.

 

Branson School Online is home to amazing students who are involved in a variety of exciting activities. 

Student Spotlight: Christianna and Emily S. 

Christianna has been taking Irish Dance lessons since 2nd grade.  She's competed internationally and has qualified multiple times to compete at the Irish Dance World Championships.  She recalled at her last Worlds, which places her in the top 0.5% of dancers internationally!  She recently placed 8th place in the United States in her age group.  She loves dance and loves the friendships that she has been able to enjoy at dance.  Christianna also loves doing art, especially canvas painting.  

 

Emily started dancing when she was 4.  She is the current regional champion for her age group, and recently placed 2nd in the United States for her age group!  Emily loves getting to dance with her friends and traveling to new places so she can learn about the world.  Emily also loves reading and doing taekwondo.  

Recently, both girls placed first at Oireachtas Irish Dance Competition! Christi is now the U16 Regional Champ and Emily is the U10 Regional Champ.

 

Both girls will travel to Belfast, Northern Ireland in April to compete at the World Championships.  

Congratulations Christianna and Emily!  We are cheering you on and we can't wait to hear about the World Championships!
