SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

Name J. York

Years Attending BSO: 7

What are your plans for after high school? After high school I plan on entering the workforce and pursuing some of my hobbies more professionally.

Pets: I have a cat named Bubbles. She's a 3 year old tabby cat and I love her to pieces.

Hobbies: Generally, I like making silly projects in Scratch and RPGMaker along with art and writing.

Advice for eighth graders moving up to high school next year: Don't sweat it too much. I know everyone says that high school is a big leap, but I promise it's not. Yes, you're moving up on the food chain, but at the end of the day you're just learning things the same way you always have, but now you're older.

Favorite Place: I haven't gone to a lot of places in my life, but I always enjoyed going to South Padre Island down in Texas. It was fun getting to go to a real beach.

What I will remember most about my senior year of high school: I think I'll remember the memories and experiences that I've had this past year, and how much I've changed and grown as a person. I know that's corny, but it's true.

Something I would like to share: Here's some general life advice: Don't listen to your music at a super high volume all the time. I know it's fun to get into the zone and just enjoy jamming out to the songs you like, but take it from me, the hearing loss isn't worth it.

Accomplishment I am most proud of: As of right now, I'm the most proud of being halfway done with a novel I've been writing in my spare time. I'll be prouder once I've finished it haha.
