Read on to learn more about Kelsey, her activities and her experience with Branson School Online.
"It is been awesome having our daughter Kelsey in your
school program this year. It is giving her great confidence to know that she can
do anything that she puts her mind to. Kelsey races cars, the same cars the NASCAR and Indy car
drivers started in. She started racing when she was just 11 years old. She was
invited to get into a race car just to see what she would do. The president and
a couple of other members of the southern Colorado Quarter Midget Racing
Association were there and saw how great she was doing. They were so impressed that they gave her a
full ride sponsorship to use a car until she could afford one. Her first year, she finished 5th in points out
of 19 cars. This winter series, she is
going into this weekend's championship race also 5th in points out of 12
cars. Racing has taught her a lot about
life including the great times and how to deal with the bad times. Kelsey is also scheduled to race in Arizona,
Indianapolis, and Las Vegas this year.
She also went from one car to three and will be competing in multiple
divisions this year. She is also a brown
belt in karate and volunteers to teach kids at her local church. Congrats and good luck Kelsey."
