February Feature Teacher

Branson School Online is home to the most talented and dedicated teaching staff in Colorado!

Each month we introduce you to one of our incredible Branson School Online teachers.

Our Feature Teacher for the month of February is: Alysha Morlan!

Mrs. Morlan is a 4th grade teacher for Branson School Online. Read on to learn more about this talented BSO teacher!

Name: Alysha Morlan

Years Teaching: 10

Years with BSO: This is my first.

Favorite food: I love food.  It's hard to pick a favorite.  Maybe smothered burritos.

Favorite color: turquoise

Pets: We have two labs, Dolla and Drake, who just became parents for the first time. :) We also have a cat named Cowboy, chickens, and fish.

Hobbies: My hobbies include camping, fishing, swimming, gardening, and spending time with my family.

What do you love about teaching? Seeing how happy kids always are to see the person that makes them work.  :)

What do you love about teaching with Branson? Well I haven't actually started yet, but my classroom being walking distance from my refrigerator is a big perk so far.  :)

Favorite season? Why? Summer because there is more time for fun. :)

Favorite place you have traveled to? Puerto Vallarta was probably the coolest place, but my favorite trips have been the ones I've taken my kids on. They love Santa's Workshop and camping about anywhere.

# 1 item on your bucket list: Right now I have the goal to get a house in the country.

Favorite book/author: I like Nicholas Sparks' books for myself.  I like The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein for children.

Favorite sport: Volleyball

Anything else you’d like to share:  I am in the process of publishing my first children's book that I made my husband, Kyle, illustrate for me.  It's called Shelby Sheep Shakes Things Up and should be on shelves soon!
